6 - My house smells like dog

"well you will probably have to keep the dog out of the parlor, if washing the rug with carpet cleaner doesn't work you might have to tear up the rug, and either get a new one or choose not to have a rug in your parlor, try taking the dog out more often especially after he/she eats or wakes up from it's naps. You might want to get a dog crate (cage) to put the puppy in with newspapers or puppy pads. Or just get rid of the dog. But I know that isn't a choice to do so, cuz you love this dog.Try cleaning the house with bleach and hot water. That kills any smell that you should have in your house, just make sure you open a window to circulate the air, so you don't get dizzy from the fumes.

There are cleaners and spray on the market (Pet Department) that are made for this. However, I have found that good old vinegar and water works the best for washing the floors, upholstery etc. This will take out the pee from anything that it can get absorbed into and also helps with the smell. The vinegar smell only lasts until it is dry and then you can't smell it any more.

As far as the air smell, Use baking soda on the carpet before you vacuum and you can even mix baking soda and vinegar together. The only thing to remember there is that it will bubble up when it is mixed, there is a chemical reaction. It does a great job, not only cleaning but eliminating odor too"
